Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ScreenFrame collects, uses and protects personal information in line with POPIA. It applies to enquiries, quotations, orders, collections, deliveries and related workshop services across South Africa.

Who controls your information

ScreenFrame, operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd, is the responsible party for personal information collected through our contact form, order process and service communications. We use this information only for lawful business purposes linked to screen stretching, frame supply, pickups, deliveries and related support.

Our base is in Maitland, Cape Town and we serve customers in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria and Gqeberha. Personal information is handled by authorised staff members only, including our sales, production, workshop and logistics teams, where it is needed to carry out your request.

Information we collect from customers and suppliers

We collect information that you give us directly, as well as technical details needed to respond to enquiries and manage orders. This may include names, contact details, delivery addresses, company details, screen specifications, service instructions and order history. We may also keep records of calls, messages and form submissions for administration and quality control.

  • Identity and contact details
  • Delivery, collection and invoicing details
  • Screen sizes, mesh preferences and service instructions
  • Proof of payment and account records
  • Any correspondence about urgent turnarounds or bulk screen orders

How we use personal information

We use personal information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, process orders, arrange deliveries and collections, and provide after-sales support. It may also be used to keep accurate workshop records, confirm service requirements, manage stock and handle complaints or follow-up requests. We do not use your information for unrelated purposes without a lawful basis.

Where needed, we may use your details to communicate about availability, production timing, screen inspections, frame cleaning or restretching work. We only keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law.

Sharing information with service providers

We may share limited personal information with trusted service providers who assist with delivery, payment processing, record keeping or business administration. These parties are required to handle information responsibly and use it only for the services they provide to us. They may not use your information for their own marketing.

  • Delivery and collection partners
  • Accounting and administrative support providers
  • Information technology and storage providers
  • Professional advisers where required by law

We do not sell personal information. If a legal duty requires disclosure, or if a competent authority asks for information in terms of applicable law, we may be required to comply.

Security of personal information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse or disclosure. This includes access control, secure record keeping and practical workshop procedures. Because our work involves orders, deliveries and production scheduling, some information may be accessed by different staff members seperately as needed for their role.

No system is completely risk free, but we work to keep records accurate and protected. Where a security incident affects personal information, we will take steps required by law to contain the issue and notify affected parties where appropriate.

Your rights under POPIA

You have rights in relation to your personal information, subject to POPIA and other applicable laws. You may ask us to confirm whether we hold your information, request access to it, or ask for corrections where details are inaccurate or outdated. In some cases, you may object to certain processing or request deletion where we are legally allowed to do so.

  • Ask what personal information we hold
  • Request correction of inaccurate details
  • Object to processing in limited circumstances
  • Withdraw consent where consent was the lawful basis
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if needed

To make a request, use the enquiry form on our contact page and include enough detail for us to identify your record and respond properly.
