Working at our Maitland workshop
Our work is hands-on and fast paced. In the workshop, every frame and screen needs careful attention because printers rely on steady tension, clean finishes and on-time handovers. We work through load-shedding, busy production runs and tight dispatch schedules, so we value people who stay organised and keep calm when the day gets full.
We hire for a range of roles over time, including screen stretching, workshop support, inspection, cleaning, sales, logistics and general production assistance. Some days are about precision with mesh tension and adhesive application, other days are about packing, route planning or helping clients with collections. It all matters.
Roles we commonly hire for
We do not publish a fixed vacancy list here, because staffing needs can change with seasonal printing orders, bulk jobs and urgent turnarounds. Instead, we keep a record of CVs for people who want to work in a practical manufacturing setting in Cape Town.
- Screen stretching and restretching support
- Workshop and cleaning assistance
- Quality checks and frame inspection
- Sales and client coordination
- Logistics and deliveries coordination
If you have experience in garment decoration, screen preparation, aluminium frames or general production, include that in your CV. If you are new to the trade but can learn quickly and follow instruction well, that can still be a good fit too.
What we look for in new team members
We work with clients from Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria and Gqeberha, so reliability matters. We need people who are punctual, careful with materials and able to communicate clearly with the team. A practical mindset goes a long way here, because small mistakes in screen preparation can affect the final print.
- Attention to detail and neat workmanship
- Respect for workshop safety and stock control
- Willingness to learn new processes
- Good time management and follow-through
- Comfort working in a busy, physical environment
Experience helps, but attitude and consistency matter just as much. We also appreciate people who understand the realities of South African production work, including power interruptions, transport delays and client deadlines.
Our team and the way we work
ScreenFrame is led by Mandla Petersen, with Ayesha Daniels managing production, Sibusiso Mthembu handling screen stretching, Bianca Jacobs looking after sales, Ruan van Wyk supervising the workshop, and Lindokuhle Dlamini coordinating logistics. Everyone plays a part in keeping jobs moving from the workshop floor to the client.
We expect teamwork, clear communication and respect for the process. Some roles are very technical, while others involve client contact or route coordination. Either way, the standard stays the same: good work, on time, and ready for use. That is how we operate, simple as that.
How to apply with your CV
If you would like to be considered for future openings, send your CV through the enquiry form on our contact page. Tell us which area interests you, what experience you have and where you are based. If you have worked with screen stretching, frame cleaning, adhesive application or deliveries, mention that as well.
Please keep your details up to date and include any practical training or workshop experience. We review applications as roles become available, and if your background matches what we need, we will make contact through the details you provide.
Why people stay with us
People who fit in well here usually enjoy practical work, steady routines and clear standards. They like seeing a job through from start to finish and knowing that the screens they prepared will be used by printers who depend on them. There is real satisfaction in that kind of work, especially when a batch goes out clean and ready.
- Hands-on production environment
- Supportive workshop culture
- Practical skills you can build over time
- Work connected to garment printing across South Africa
We are always interested in hearing from dependable people who want to grow with a Cape Town based trade business. If that sounds like you, send through your CV and let us know what you can bring to the team.
